LNN and LFLF certified Gold by Africa Music & Charts
Two albums, two Gold Records. Africa Music & Charts certifies LNN and LFLF, and Dip becomes the first Senegalese rapper certified Gold by the organisation.
Africa Music & Charts (AMC) has just certified the albums LNN (2019) and LFLF (2023) Gold. AMC is the body that certifies sales and streams of African music, based on figures reported by the platforms.
With these two certifications, Dip Doundou Guiss becomes the first Senegalese rapper certified Gold by AMC.
LNN, Loo Ñeme Ñàkk, was released in November 2019. The album made Dip the most streamed Francophone artist on Audiomack and has passed 24 million streams. Its lead track, LNN with Bass Thioung, became the anthem of the doorwaar, those who rise early to build their future.
LFLF, Lépp Fii Lañu Fekk, was released in December 2023. It now exceeds 54 million streams and earned Dip the Best Solo Album award at the 2024 Galsen Hip Hop Awards.
These Gold Records reward years of work, built without shortcuts alongside a loyal audience in Senegal and across the diaspora. They also show that Senegalese rap in Wolof carries real weight on the platforms.
