Mayko Loolou, the new EP, is out now
Four tracks, entirely in Wolof. With Mayko Loolou, his first project with Sony Music Entertainment Africa, Dip blends rap, mbalax and local sounds.
Mayko Loolou was released on 28 July 2026 on all platforms. It is Dip’s first project since signing with Sony Music Entertainment Africa in October 2025. Four tracks, all in Wolof, that start from rap and reach out to mbalax and the sounds of home.
The single Nogmanté leads the project. The word means to mix, to season: exactly what the EP does. The video, released in June, has passed one and a half million views on YouTube.
Around it, three tracks with different colours. Guddi Yi Ñu Tollu takes a look at Senegal today. Yaa May Gunge, shot in Palmarin, Fimela and Ndangane, is a love letter to Sine Saloum. Dolé Doxul Jam closes the project, and its video is coming soon.
Dip presented the EP in Paris on 3 August on RFI’s Fais ton Boucan, before performing it at a sold-out Cabaret Sauvage on 8 August.
